    STRENGTHENING SOCIAL WORK EDUCATION IN EUROPE IN CO-OPERATION WITH EASSW

    EASSW funds projects that will contribute to its development and that of its members.

    Funding Policy

    • EASSW funds projects only in part. Additional resources are expected to help fund and contribute to the success of a project.
    • EASSW funds may not be used to pay for applicant’s salaries or for overhead costs.
    • EASSW funds are limited to EUR 4000.—
    • Applicants must be members of EASSW member schools.

    Project goals
    EASSW encourages the submission of projects to

    • Develop subregional associations within Europe, minor Asia, and Mediterranean Africa (analogous to the Scandinavian subregion)
    • Organize regional seminars on curriculum development and professional training (with participants from at least three countries)
    • Establish platforms (e.g. on the internet) for transnational networks for cooperation in teaching or research (with participants from at least five countries)
    • Establish platforms (e.g. on the internet) for transnational networks for proactive social policy initiatives (with participants from at least five countries)

    Evaluation criteria for projects submitted

      1. Does the project fall into one or more of the above project goals
      2. Is the goal of the project clearly stated and does the project title clearly reflect its content?
      3. Is the expected outcome (the project “product(s)”) clearly stated?
      4. Is this a follow up project on a project that was previously funded by EASSW?
      5. Is the action plan and time table of the project clearly stated?
      6. Is it clearly stated for which components of the action plan funds are requested from the EASSW?  
      7. Are the individuals responsible for the project clearly named?
      8. Is the party responsible for communicating with EASSW named?
      9. Is the bank account (incl. BIC and IBAN) clearly stated for the transfer of EASSW funds?
      10. Is a project abstract included for posting on the EASSW web page?
      11. Has it been indicated what EASSW can do to promote the success of the project?

    Length of project proposal
    The proposal should be short, clearly communicated and not longer than 1000  to 1500 words (3 pages).

    Final report
    A short report must be submitted upon completion of the project and approved by EASSW. It shall mention

      1. The project title and executive summary (for the EASSW web page)  
      2. The project outcomes and “product(s)”
      3. What goals (if any) could not be attained and why
      4. What EASSW can do to disseminate the project outcomes and “product(s)”
      5. Whether or not a follow up project is being considered?
      6. How EASSW can improve its project management?

    Funding schedule

    • 70% of the funds granted will be paid on approval of the project proposal
    • 30% of the funds granted will be paid upon approval of final report.

    Submission of proposal and final report
    Proposals and final reports are submitted in electronic form to the EASSW project committee Mona Fransehn Mona.Fransehn@socwork.gu.se

    Feedback upon submitting project proposal and final report
    The EASSW project committee will approve or disapprove the proposal or final report within 8 weeks.
