A BRIEF PRESENTATION OF THE SPECIFIC FIELD OF INTEREST:
SIG Main Aims:
• To introduce the topic of Holocaust legacy for contemporary clinical social work to others as something we can learn from, be inspired and encouraged by in various ways (with focus on axiological aspects).
• Honor the examples of people who were involved in social work through the Holocaust/Holocaust survivors who dedicated their lives to the field and help to keep their legacy alive by sharing their life stories and experience.
• Help to bring together people who are interested in the topic and have a heart and passion for it. • Raising awareness about the importance of this topic and its meaning for today´s society and clinical social work field.

The Ways This Aims and Interest Will Be Developed

  • Building a network of people - academics, students and other professionals in thefield of clinical social work - who are interested in the topic.
  • Focusing on axiological education with its curriculum implementation in social workprograms(from undergraduate to doctoral programs).
  • Research of the topic of education in the space of difficult heritage and itsimplementation into the social work practice with special regard to national historyand experience of each participating state (for example, the meaning of special

places of memory for us today).

  • Emphasis on building a value-based practice in clinical social work with regard to itsrelation to the topic of Holocaust legacy.
